The Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria is a professional management association, which specializes in Strategic Management, Leadership, and Governance. We currently have over 25,000 members in Nigeria and Abroad.

Cerficate of Fellowship is awarded only to deserving Full Members of the Institute or individual achievers in the Private or Public sector. Prospective Candidates are nominated by members or body of the fellows and approved by the Governing Board.

Why Strategic Management

The most basic questions about strategy look at why firms succeed or fail, and why, when faced with the same environmental conditions, their performance levels vary. The organizations that use strategic management do have higher levels of performance, and that makes it prey important for managers.

Strategic management is a process for developing and enacting plans to reach a long-term goal that takes into account internal variables and external factors.

Strategic Management help professionals identify long range targets, scan their operating environments, evaluate their organization's structures and resources, match these to the challenges they face, identify stakeholders and build alliances, prioritize and plan actions, and make adjustments to fulfill performance objectives over me.

Our History

2003 - 2004

The Rivers State Chapter has been the best-performing Chapter of the Institute since its inception. The first membership Induction of the Institute was held in Rivers State on Saturday 29th November 2003, while the Chapter was inaugurated on the 24th of July 2004. 01

2005

On June 18th, 2005 the Chapter hosted its first Annual General Conference and hosted the 2nd National Conference at the Hotel Presidential on the 3rd of December 2005. 02

Leadership

Rev Itia Otabor FSM served as the pioneer Chairman of the Chapter and was succeeded by the current National Chairman, Mr. Alex Ndudi Enebeli FSM, Sir, Anthony Agbakwuru FSM served as the third Chapter Chairman, and was succeeded by Sir Davies Okarevu FSM. The current Chapter Chairman is Nath Excellence FSM. 03
